There was a woman who had made some bread. She said to her daughter, “Bring a hot loaf and a bottle of milk to your grandmother.”
So the little girl left. At a cross of two paths she met the wolf, who said to her, “Where are you going?”
“I am bringing a hot loaf and a bottle of milk to my grandmother.”
“Which path are you taking? said the wolf. “The one of needles or the one of pins?”
“The one of needles,” said the little girl.
“Good! I am taking the one of pins.”
The little girl had fun collecting needles.
The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house, killed her, put her flesh in the pantry and a bottle of her blood on the shelf.
The little girl arrived and knocked on the door. […] “Good day, grandmother. I brought you a hot loaf and a bottle of milk.”
“Put it in the pantry, my child. Take some of the meat there and the bottle of wine on the shelf.”
While she was eating, a little cat said, “Slut! To eat the flesh and drink the blood of her grandmother.”
“Undress, my child,” said the wolf, “and come to bed with me.”
“Where should I put my apron?”
“Throw it into the fire, my child, you won’t need it anymore.”
And for all her clothes, her bodice, her dress, her petticoat, and her shoes and stockings, she asked where she should put them. And the wolf replied, “Throw them into the fire, my child, you won’t need them anymore.”

Hannibal meme | 5 quotes [2/5] :
“She has a penchant for manipulation, withheld information to gain information… She demonstrated only enough emotions to prove she had them.”
every time I listen to Florence + the Machine I turn into a literal meadow dwelling nymph who wears raindrops as hats and sunbathes on a lilypad
wow that was pretty bad ass speech from someone who was pretty much always considered a bimbo
wow people are outdoing themselves this morning
and actually for your information helen really wasn’t a “bimbo” (and i don’t have time now to get into the problem with using that as an insult).
she was kidnapped multiple times in her life, first of all by theseus when she reached puberty who had agreed with his friend that they wanted to bang a daughter of zeus before they died. she can only have been about twelve or thirteen, and was almost undoubtedly raped (probably repeatedly) and according to some variations of the story actually bore him a daughter.
her brothers castor and polydeuces then raised an army to go and get her back, and once she was returned she was married off to menelaus with absolutely no say in the matter. she had hundreds of suitors but it was her father who chose.
and then, yeah, she probably did “fall in love” with paris but considering he’d been promised the most beautiful woman in the world by aphrodite, it’s highly likely that helen was induced by the goddess or her son eros to fall in love in return, and therefore had little to no say in the matter whatsoever.
helen was caged by both her beauty and the overwhelming patriarchy of the society of her time. she never had a chance to escape from that and her life is almost tragic when you consider that she was simply handed from one man to the next. running away with paris was probably the only thing in her life she ever did that was her own choice, and oddly enough that’s what she’s most condemned for. agamemnon didn’t take the thousand ships to troy to get helen back, that was just the excuse he used. he wanted troy - it was rich and famous and on an excellent trading route. helen’s “kidnapping” just gave him the excuse he needed, as well as a surefire way to ensure almost all the other kings of greece followed him to war. since they’d pledged so at helen’s marriage.
helen was never given the opportunity to be anything other than a pawn throughout her lifetime. but she weathered kidnapping, survived rape, escaped her husband’s palace, was sister to two future gods (the dioscuri) and daughter of the king of the gods. do you really, truly think she can be written off as a “bimbo”?
Hello darkness, my old friend;
Hannibal 1x08 - The One Where I Channel All Kinds of Kinks (And Possibly Disturb Myself A Little)
#actual visual representation of the fracturing of hannibal’s reality#cracks breaking across the flesh to let the blood seep through #the core of his labyrinth: his actual cave being infiltrated; being desecrated #the monster once safe in his den now forced to defend himself against fresh new monsters who too easily have deduced him as well (thymoss)
I no longer need you to fuck me as hard
as I hate myself.
Make love to me
like you know I am better than the worst thing I ever did.
Go slow.
I’m new to this
but I have seen nearly every city from a rooftop without jumping.
I have realized
that the moon did not have to be full for us to love it.
We are not tragedies
stranded here beneath it.
